Warframe Switch

Today Canadian developer and publisher Digital Extremes revealed that the recently-released Nintendo Switch version of Warframe passed a downloads milestone.

To be precise, the game has been downloaded over a million time on Nintendo’s hybrid console since its release on Nov. 20.

This is certainly quite the achievement for Digital Extremes and Warframe, which is now available on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, on top of Switch.

It was initially released for PC back in March 2013, and then for PS4 in November of the same year. The Xbox One version followed a year later in 2014. Five expansions have been released since, with Fortuna being the last this, pretty much exactly one month ago.

The game was announced for Switch back in July and it appears that it’s quite popular among those who enjoy watching on top of playing games.

Over five years after its initial release, Waframe seems to be accelerating instead of slowing down, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see where Digital Extremes will bring the game going forward.
