The Game Awards are in full swing, as Geoff Keighley and company have already begun celebrating the best of the best in the pre-show. Alongside two world premieres, we’ve already seen two awards given out as well, including Monster Hunter World winning Best RPG of the year.

Monster Hunter World beat Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, Octopath Traveler, Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire, and Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age to win the award.

While accepting The Game Awards statue, Monster Hunter World Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto thanked the fans and the team behind the project. That wasn’t all he said though, as he told Keighley that everyone should expect some big news.

When the host pressed further, hoping for a live reveal of new info, Tsujimoto simply stated that everyone should expect “Great news on monster hunter” in a few days.

Info doesn’t really provide anything of substance, but we will be sure to keep you posted in the next few days with updates.

That also doesn’t keep us from speculating though, as it could be anything from extra Monster Hunter World content to a brand new game on the horizon.

In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned for more news from The Game Awards, including awards and world premieres, as we break them as soon as they are announced.
