Today Compile Heart released an extensive gameplay video of its upcoming JRPG Arc of Alchemist.
The video showcases about eight minutes of gameplay and we get to see both exploration gameplay and battle.
One of the most interesting aspects of this upcoming game is definitely the fact that part of the artwork has been designed by the well-known pen of Yoshitaka Amano. The name will definitely sound familiar to fans of the Final Fantasy series.
Arc of Alchemist is a JRPG based on a completely original IP, and it includes some base building mechanics that are certainly rather new for Compile Heart. It’s nice to see that the studio is looking into breaking the mold of what they normally make.
The game will release in Japan on Feb. 7, 2019, following a delay that made it slide beyond its original 2018 window. A western release has already been announced for next summer. Yet, we don’t have a precise date just yet. Of course, as soon as Compile Heart (or likely Idea Factory International) announces it, you’ll hear it here.
