The wait is finally over as Red Dead Online has made its way to Red Dead Redemption 2. You’ll now be able to explore the Wild West with friends, joining a posse and tackling missions. The options for what to spend your time doing are vast, with you even being able to take part in a Series. Here is everything you need to know about how to start a series in Red Dead Online.

A Series in Red Dead Online allows you to put together a few different events in a row, without having to travel around to start them. It’s simply a quicker way of jumping into the online mode’s action.

Series can be found in Red Dead Online by looking for the icon on your map (which can be brought up by holding the Options/Menu button on your controller) that looks like silhouettes of three people on a white background and heading to that location.

Alternatively, you can access any live Series by pressing the Options/Menu button, on PS4 and Xbox One respectively, then choosing the Online option, and scrolling down to free roam option, where you’ll see the Series Playlist.

There are a few different Series types that you can choose between. Both Showdown Series and Showdown Series Large offer varied game types for you to test yourself in, but the latter ups the player count from 16 to 32, giving you more competition.

You can also play a race series if you see yourself being a rocket on horseback. You can do individual races throughout Red Dead Online’s world, but Race Series pit you against players across a few different races.

Playing a Series in Red Dead Online gives you the chance to earn rewards such as items and currency to spend on weapons and items for your camp.
