Pokemon Let’s Go: Is It Compatible with Pokemon Bank? What You Need to Know

Is Pokemon Bank Compatible With Pokemon Let’s Go?

Hardcore fans of the 3DS generation of Pokemon games are likely familiar with Pokemon Bank, and might be wondering if it’s compatible with Pokemon Let’s Go.

The Pokemon Bank is an incredibly helpful app for the 3DS. For a nominal yearly fee (paid with real dollars, not Pokedollars), you can store and organize your collection however you wish.

Even better, you can transfer ‘mons from earlier games to the newer ones. So for example, if you had ones from X & Y that you wanted to bring over to Sun and Moon, you totally could.

Lots of fans were hoping that this would be possible in Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee as well. That possibly, we could transfer ones from earlier games, to Let’s Go or vice versa.

Sadly, Pokemon Bank is not compatible with Let’s Go and there doesn’t appear to be any plans for it to ever be so. This is probably due the fact that Let’s Go is restricted to the original Kanto ‘mons, minus Meltan and his evolution, Mega Evolved forms and Alola forms of what was already in Gen 1.

However, don’t lose hope for the future of the Bank as a whole. From what we have heard, the next mainline game in the series, the one that’s more aimed at the “core” and “hardcore” players, will be compatible with Pokemon Bank.

The details are scarce, but Game Freak is figuring out a way to make it work.

Let’s Go does have compatibility with GO on mobile though. You can check out our guide on how to transfer if you’re a player of both those games and want to take advantage of its unique connection.

That does it for whether or not Pokemon Bank is compatible for Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee. We’re sorry we don’t have better news, but at least you have your answer.
