How to Block Players in Fallout 76
Sometimes, simply muting or kicking a player in a multiplayer game won’t do. Maybe they won’t stop talking about your mom. Maybe they won’t stop ruining whatever plans you have. In your game, it doesn’t really matter what the reason is — what matters is whether or not you’re having fun and if someone is making what should be a fun experience, not fun, it’s up to you to handle the situation. After muting and kicking fails, there’s only one option left: blocking. Here’s how to block players in Fallout 76.
We’ve all been there. You mute a player, but instead of getting the message, they continue to follow you. You kick a player from a party, and again, instead of getting the message, they just spam invite requests to your inbox. Both situations are truly awful and it’s in these situations where one must drop the hammer. Block them. Then, not only are they unable to send you invite requests, but they won’t be able to talk to you. Most importantly though, you’ll never have to see them again. To make this happen, head to the Social menu.
To get to the Social menu, press the Options or Menu button depending on what console you’re playing on. Once there, press R1 or RB. This will take you to the Social menu.
Here, you should find a breakdown of your friends, your party and other players within your West Virginia in the different menus. Look for the name of the player you wish to ban from your own personal Fallout 76 experience. Select it and then select the Block Player option. Press A or X and assuming you followed these instructions correctly, that player should not be blocked.
With that player blocked, you’re free to carry on in your wasteland adventures throughout the Appalachia region of the United States of America. It’s important to note that while blocking a player in Fallout 76 will block them from your experience, they can still interact with you through PSN, so you might receive an onslaught of hate mail via PSN messaging. Fortunately, you can block them through PSN as well, truly freeing you of them and their annoying tendencies.
