How to Get Radiation in Fallout 76
It should come as no surprise that as you traverse the wasteland of Fallout 76 you’re often in danger of radiation poisoning. It’s one of the many hazards of the map, and it’s been a feature of every previous game. Here’s how to get radiation in Fallout 76.
How to Get Radiation
Most areas of West Virginia are free from radioactive activity. In fact, it’s probably the lushest and healthy-looking Fallout map we’ve ever seen in terms of vegetation and greenery. But there are still dangerous, and moving near anything that’s radioactive will see your character suffer.
You’ll get radiation if you move anywhere near the source, which will set off a crackling alarm sound. As soon as you hear that you know you’re entering a radioactive zone. Most water sources in the wasteland tend to be contaminated.
Barrels of nuclear waste are obviously something to certainly stay aware from, as are any radiated bodies you discover (if you search them and they crumble, be careful!).
How to Get Rid of Radiation
As has been the case for virtually every notable Fallout game ever, to get rid of radiation you’ll want to use RadAway. This can be purchased from most vendors across the map, and it’s also an item you’ll frequently pick-up as a drop from enemies.
