How to Craft Items in Overkill’s The Walking Dead
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is finally available to PC players on Steam, and it’s proving to be a pretty enjoyable zombie-slaying co-op experience so far. The campaign is split into several missions, some of which can get pretty tough. Whenever you’re in a mission, you’ll be equipped with a primary ability, a tool, and a secondary item. However, if you use them, you’ll need to craft them again for extra charges. Here’s what you need to know about how to craft items in Overkill’s The Walking Dead.
First off, whenever you’re on a mission or in a new map, you’ll definitely want to scour the area for resources. Look around the houses and keep an eye out for cabinets that you can interact with. A prompt will show up on your screen, saying that you can scavenge. Hold down the F key to scavenge for resources, which will automatically be added to your inventory.
The nice thing about Overkill’s The Walking Dead is that you don’t have to worry about inventory space, so loot and scavenge everything you see. Each time you find resources, keep an eye on the bottom left corner of your screen where the ability icons are. They’ll light up briefly, indicating that you’ve found materials that can be used to craft the items needed for that ability.
Once you have enough resources, you can start to craft items in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Open up the crafting menu by pressing and holding the Tab key, and you’ll see your ability icons pop up in the middle of your screen. Each ability is tied to a different key. Your primary ability is bound to Q, your secondary item is E, and your tool is F. If you want to craft items to get more charges for your primary ability, hold down the Q button when your crafting menu is open. For the other options, hold down the corresponding buttons to craft those instead.
Once you’ve crafted the item you want, you’ll be able to use them in-game. We definitely recommend crafting items whenever you can in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Some of the tougher missions can get dragged out for quite a while, and you definitely don’t want to be caught in a situation where you’re out of bandages to heal yourself with.
And that’s pretty much all you need to know about how to craft items in Overkill’s The Walking Dead. Be sure to search for Twinfinite for more help and information on the game.
