How to Play Instruments in Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is the series’ first foray into multiplayer territory, splitting off from the single-player focused entries of the past. Despite this, there’s still a massive open world to explore, this time set in the flowing hills and forests of West Virginia. In traditional Fallout style, Fallout 76 has plenty for you to see and interact with, including musical instruments. Here’s how to play instruments in Fallout 76.
How to Play Guitar, Piano, and More
During your adventures in Fallout 76 you might happen upon any number of musical instruments in burned-out houses, abandoned buildings, and other places. In the game we’ve already seen a guitar, piano, tuba, and banjo, all of which are playable.
If you happen to see an instrument all you need to do is walk over to it and press X on PS4 or A on Xbox One to start playing it.
There’s a nice little tune that your character will play and you can sit and play for as long as you want, even leading to the reward of a perk called Well-Tuned.
It’s also possible to get your hands on plans for the musical tools so you can construct them to have at your CAMP, but it seems to be random as to where the plans pop up or which merchants you can get them from.
What Well-Tuned Does
Playing an instrument for long enough in Fallout 76, roughly 30 seconds, will give you the Well-Tuned perk, which is actually a timed perk.
This perk applies for one hour of playtime and grants you +25% AP regeneration, so it can be pretty handy.
After an hour Well-Tuned will wear off, but you can always track down another instrument to play and reapply it.
That’s everything you need to know about how to play instruments in Fallout 76, so get out there and create some sweet, sweet music.
