How to Raise Your Bounty in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
The latest installment in Ubisoft‘s Assassin’s Creed franchise Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is here. With a big emphasis on player choice this time around some changes to the typical Assassin’s Creed formula. You are now able to kill civilians with about being desynchronized. This completely changes the way you interact with the world, because now your actions have more consequence. Of course committing crimes in Odyssey will eventually rack up a bounty on your head, causing enemies known as Mercenaries to come after you. Knowing how to raise your bounty in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey can lead to even more Mercenaries coming after you, which is a good thing.
Mercenaries in Odyssey are similar to the Phalanx bounty Hunters for Origins, but Mercenaries are much more ruthless. Taking these enemies down are no easy feat, but will net you some pretty interesting rewards.
In order to get Mercenaries tracking you down, you’ll need to raise your bounty. Here’s how to raise your bounty fast and easy in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Killing civilians is one of the easiest ways to raise your bounty on your head, but there are a few other easy ways too. Stealing items and getting caught doing in the act will also help raise your bounty level quickly.
If you find yourself in a fight try to keep that fight going as long as possible. The longer the fight continues the higher your bounty level will rise. The higher your bounty the level the more Mercenaries will be sent your way.
This is an extremely effective way to start taking these bounty hunters out. It may feel bad at first committing crimes around Ancient Greece in Odyssey, but sometimes a little bit of evil is necessary for the greater good of the Assassin’s order.
Oh, and here’s a quick tip for you if you’re further along the game, too. Head to Elis (to the west of the map), where you’ll find lands under the Olympic truce.
Because they’re under this truce (due to the Olympics), there’s a zero tolerance for any crime. Go ahead and start causing a bit of ruckus around Olympia and you’ll get an automatic 5 helmet bounty real quick. Easiest way to raise it, for sure.
