Is Cyberpunk 2077 Coming to Nintendo Switch?

2015’s Game of the Year, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, is the game that really put CD Projekt Red on the map as one of the premiere game developers out there. Now with The Witcher 3 a thing of the past, CD Projekt is moving onto their next huge project, Cyberpunk 2077. The game is actually adapted from the 1988 tabletop game, Cyberpunk 2020, with CD Projekt putting their own fresh twist and mark on everything. After Cyberpunk’s big 48-minute gameplay reveal it quickly became one of the most hotly anticipated titles, so it’s only natural for fans to wonder if they might get the chance to play it on the go with their Nintendo Switch.

Unfortunately, we’ll have to be the bearer of bad news for now. At the moment there are no plans whatsoever to bring Cyberpunk 2077 to the Nintendo Switch. The game is currently planned for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. During CD Projekt’s 2017 Financial Presentation, the company said they’re focusing on the strongest platforms including PC and consoles, but that a Switch version wasn’t under consideration for now. Of course, this doesn’t absolutely mean there’s no chance of ever seeing Cyberpunk 2077 on the Nintendo console, but for at least don’t get your hopes up. It should also be noted that none of CD Projekt’s games have ever been released on a Nintendo platform up to this point.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently planned to release sometime in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. For more Cyberpunk 2077 content you can take a look at a few neat Easter Eggs hidden in the game’s reveal, as well as a few other Cyberpunk-style games CD Projekt probably used as homework.

That’s all you need to know about if Cyberpunk 2077 is coming to Switch, and if anything changes on the matter we’ll make sure to update you right here. For more news and info on Cyberpunk 2077 and video games in general, make sure to search Twinfinite.
