The first huge game of Fall 2018, Insomniac’s Spider-Man, is finally about to release as an exclusive on PlayStation 4 and you’ll no doubt be excited. You’ll probably want to jump into the game’s version of Manhattan to swing around the skies as soon as you can, and if you’ve bought the game digitally from the PlayStation Store, you should be able to do so before those that have opted to buy the game physically. Here’s everything you need to know about the preload and unlock times for Spider-Man on PS4.

While the game technically releases on Sept. 7, you might be able to jump in sooner, if you’re in one of a selection of time zones. You will be able to launch Spider-Man on your PlayStation 4 at 12am ET on Friday, and the same time applies if you’re in other US time zones. Therefore, anyone on the West Coast will be able to start playing Spider-Man at 9pm on Sept. 6. Simply keep an eye on the icon on your PlayStation 4’s home menu and wait until it is unlocked.

Also, if would be smart to preload the game so that you’re all ready to go once the unlock time arrives. According to PlayStation themselves, you will be able to start pre-loading Spider-Man PS4 on Sept. 5. If you have pre-ordered the game from the PlayStation Store, the game will begin downloading on Wednesday so that it is installed by Friday, maximising the amount of time you’ll have to swing around the city. Be sure to not forget to preload the game in advance of the unlock time.
