Is There Splitscreen Local Co-Op Multiplayer in Spider-Man PS4?

Recommended Videos

Here’s what you need to know about splitscreen local co-op multiplayer in Spider-Man for the PS4.

Insomniac’s Spider-Man tells a new story in the Spider-verse that has never been done before in the comics, films, or other video games, making it a totally unique story starring our favorite web-slinger.

Peter Parker is still in his early 20’s but this isn’t an origin story, it’s a tale of a hero who has already done so much for the city that he loves. This time around, we’re dealing with an experienced superhero, a Spider-Man that has seen it all and has been steadily working on his craft and skills, preparing for a moment like this one.

Facing off against villains like Rhino, Kingpin, and Shocker, Spider-Man is gonna need all of the help that he can get. As such, can you play with friends?

Unfortunately, Spider-Man for PS4 does not feature any kind of multiplayer, split screen nor online. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Insomniac Games seems to fully focused on presenting a strong single-player experience for their first step into the world of Spider-Man. You’re going to have to face all of these deadly villains all by yourself, but as long as you master your skills and learn the ways of the web, you shouldn’t have a problem playing alone.

There are some key moments where you will be able to play as Mary Jane Watson but besides that, it looks like you will be playing as Spidey for the majority of the main campaign.

That’s all you need to know about split screen local co-op multiplayer for Spider-Man PS4. Again, sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

If you’re playing through this new superhero story and are in need of any help, be sure to check out our ever-growing wiki guide for the game that is chock-full of useful information.

If Insomniac decides to add in some sort of multiplayer feature for the game, we’ll be sure to update this guide accordingly.
