How to Get Masterwork Weapons & Armor and What They Do in Destiny 2 Warmind
Destiny 2 Warmind isn’t just about bringing new story content for players to shoot and blast their way through. It also brings a number of neat new features to hopefully keep Guardians fighting the good fight after they’ve finished the new quests that Warmind brings. Masterwork Weapons are one of these new features, offering more powerful versions of Legendary weapons and armor. Here’s exactly what you need to know about Masterwork weapons and armor, and how you can get your hands on them in the game.
What Masterwork Weapons and Armor Are in Destiny 2 Warmind
First off, let’s run through exactly what makes Masterwork gear so noteworthy in Destiny 2 Warmind. Each Masterwork weapon or armor will have another random perk on top of what its existing Legendary version does. Any kills you get in Vanguard or Crucible activities will also be tracked, too, which is always a neat thing to keep note of. Masterwork weapons also have the ability to drop additional Orbs when successfully executing multi-kills, while Masterwork armor reduces incoming damage while using Supers by 3% per piece of Masterwork armor you have equipped.
As for how to get Masterwork weapons and armor in Destiny 2 Warmind, you’ve got a few methods. We’ve run you through them quickly below.
How to Get Masterwork Weapons and Armor in Destiny 2 Warmind
- Random Drops at Power Level 250 – Once you hit Power Level 250, you’ll be able to get Masterworks as random drops from anywhere you could previously get Legendary weapons or armor. This includes chests, Engrams, and loot drops from activities.
- Raid Activities – Though it’s by no means guaranteed that you’ll net some Masterwork gear from Raid activities, you’ve got a very high chance of doing so, so get some fellow Guardians together and get grinding.
- Trials of the Nine – If PvP is more your thing, Trials of the Nine also has a very high chance of rewarding Masterworks.
Once you’ve actually got your hands on Masterworks in Destiny 2 Warmind, it becomes a little bit easier to get more Masterwork weapons and armor. You can dismantle any you don’t want in order to get Masterwork Cores. These allow you to re-roll any Masterworks you already have, or upgrade any normal Legendary gear you have into its Masterworks equivalent.
