How to Fix Save Games Disappearing in Battletech
If you love the idea of ordering giant mechs to blow other giant mechs up, Battletech is definitely a game that’s going to interest you. With a single-player story, and online multiplayer modes, there’s something for everyone. However, some players have found that their save games have been disappearing from the ‘Load’ option at the main menu. Fear not, here’s what you need to know to fix save games disappearing in Battletech.
First off, don’t worry, you’re not alone. This is a known error and it’ll no doubt be ironed out as part of a post-launch update in the near future. In the meantime, however, all you need to do to recover those disappearing save games is exit the game and load it back up. According to the official Twitter account for Battletech, this seems to be resolving this issue for most people.
If this doesn’t work, another Battletech player suggests disabling the DLC if you’re playing the Steam version of the game by right-clicking on it in Steam, selecting Properties, and clicking on the DLC tab. Now all you need to do is untick any DLC currently installed and try again. Some players have found this to solve the issue, but that doesn’t mean it’ll work for every player.
Failing that, as the tweet says below, head over to Battletech’s Bug Forum and let them know of your issues and what you’ve tried. Fingers crossed this will all be cleared up soon so that we can all get back to blowing stuff up with mechs.
PSA: Some users have reported saves disappearing from the load menu, restarting the game should make the saves appear again! If you encounter issues though please keep them coming to our Bug Forum! https://t.co/mu2NLvvOme
