Monster Hunter World is a game about hunting and killing massive beasts, but it’s also about going on adventures with a cute little cat-like creature called a Palico. These cuddly little critters are more than just an adorable face, as they help you out in combat, attacking monsters, and providing different buffs with their handy gadgets. Each gadget has a different capability in Monster Hunter World, such as regenerating health, so you’ll want to make sure you’re using the right one for your playstyle.

You’ll unlock Palico gadgets as you progress through Monster Hunter World. Most of these are given to you when you help out native tribes in various areas. To equip different Palico gadgets, simply go to your room and speak with your Palico.

Here is a list of all the known Palico Gadgets in Monster Hunter World, including their location, and ability:

Vigorwasp Spray – Starting Gadget

You’ll have the Vigorwasp Spray as soon as you start Monster Hunter World. It allows the Palico to summon a Vigorwasp to heal you.

Flashfly Cage – Ancient Forest

The gadget allows your Palico to summon a Flashfly near large monsters, blinding them for a short time. The level 5 perk sees your Palico occasionally plant a Shock Trap. Level 10 perk allows you to place a Shock Trap manually.

Shieldspire – Wildspire Waste

Shieldspire allows your Palico to summon a shield that not only blocks damage but also draws the attention of large monsters. Obtained by helping the Grimalkynes in the Wildspire Waste.
