PUBG was arguably the biggest success story of 2017, blowing up the internet with its fresh take on the battle royale genre. After leaving early access (and reaching 30 million players) at the tail end of last year, it came to the Xbox Game Preview program on December 12, where it clearly has found an equally passionate fanbase.

In the post Greenberg thanks the community for supporting the game during its first month, but also acknowledges that there is still room for PUBG to improve on Xbox One.

“You’ll continue to see regular updates roll out for PUBG on Xbox One such as this week’s addition of first-person support for solo, duo, and squads gameplay and the team is just getting started, with more updates planned that include additional game optimization and the new Miramar map,” says Greenberg.

Despite the technical issues that have plagued PUBG on Xbox One, it shows no signs of slowing down. The game just received a squad update last month and these changes (all of which have already come to the PC version) should give players more to do, but it will be the development team’s continued efforts to optimize the game that will really please fans.
