Rocket League first launched for the PC and PlayStation 4 in July 2015. The title later came to Xbox One in February 2016, and Nintendo Switch last November. The game hit the 30 million player milestone in April 2017, while surpassing 38 million players with over 2 billion games played last month.

Recently, Psyonix announced new features that are being actively worked on for 2018, such as cross-platform party support, in-game tournaments, a revamped XP progression system, and better inventory management. The team is also trying to improve two issues during the new year: server performance and Xbox One game performance.

Psyonix plans to add more connection quality status information into the game, and the ability to report poor-performing servers. As for Xbox One performance, the developer noted it had deployed fixes in the last two major patches, but will discuss more in the coming year.

Rocket League is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
