Call of Duty: WWII is at the top of the UK game charts for the sixth week in a row. The game was originally released in early November and has managed to dominate the charts despite fierce competition from many other high profile games.
FIFA 18 is in second place and Star Wars Battlefront II is in third. Super Mario Odyssey is in fourth place and Assassin’s Creed: Origins brings up the rear in fifth place. The top 20 are as follows:
- Call of Duty: WWII
- FIFA 18
- Star Wars Battlefront II
- Super Mario Odyssey
- Assassin’s Creed: Origins
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
- WWE 2K18
- The Sims 4
- Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2
- Gran Turismo: Sport
- Just Dance 2018
- Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
- Pokemon Ultra Sun
- Need for Speed Payback
- Pokemon Ultra Moon
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
- Sonic Forces
- Prey
- Forza Motorsport 7
Call of Duty: WWII abandons the futuristic setting previous installments have explored and instead returns to the series’ roots of World War II. Given how long the game has remained atop the charts, it looks like gamers are enjoying the fresh setting.
This coming week will see the release of Okami HD for the PS4, and the Nintendo Switch port of Yooka-Laylee. Will either of these be able to knock Call of Duty from the top spot?
