Bayonetta 3 Announced as Nintendo Switch Exclusive

Let's dance, boys!

During The Game Awards 2017, Reggie Fils-Aime was on hand to announce one of the most surprising developments of the show: Bayonetta 3. The impeccably stylish action/hack-and-slash, spiritual sequel to the Devil May Cry series we’ve always wanted, is finding a new home on the Nintendo Switch as an exclusive, and while there isn’t a date for Bayonetta’s return just yet, the thought of a new rendezvous with Bayonetta is more than enough to get us feeling absolutely frisky.

In addition to the earth-shattering news that we will indeed be getting a Bayonetta 3, The Game Awards didn’t disappoint with the reveal of Bayonetta 2 for the Switch, a physical version of the game that’s coming out for the console with a downloadable code for the original Bayonetta with each copy. Bayonetta 2 debuted in 2014, and now three years later it’s coming back again. It’s about time!

All we have right now is a really cool teaser trailer to go by in terms of Bayonetta 3, but the fact that the game is coming is enough to whet our whistles. Just don’t tangle up your hair or anything about it. Slow and steady wins the race…unless you’re prancing around as a Bayonetta panther.
