Open-world crime solving game and pseudo lie detector test L.A. Noire will need more hard drive space on the Nintendo Switch than the console’s internal storage supports.
According to publisher Rockstar Games, the eShop digital download version requires 29 GB of available memory. While the Switch comes with 32 GB of internal hard drive space, 6.2 GB is reserved for the system itself. Rockstar notes a microSD card with a read speed of at least 60 MB/sec is necessary to download the game.
The physical version has a different storage requirement with a 14 GB patch that can be downloaded to the console or a microSD card. This day one patch contains “required gameplay data as well as general bug fixes and improvements.” The Switch cartridge will also cost $10 more than the digital version and other platforms.
The re-release of L.A. Noire launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on Nov. 14.
