How to Get More Clothes and Shoes in NBA 2K18

Recommended Videos

NBA 2K18 has finally arrived bringing fans all of the tight, ballin’ action that they’ve come to know and love from the series. The MyPlayer feature is back around this time, too, allowing players to guide their character to a 99-rated basketball superstar. NBA 2K18 offers a plethora of clothes and shoes for you to customize your baller’s look with, so here’s what you need to know to get more clothes and shoes.

Clothes and shoes can be purchased in the new Neighborhood hub world in NBA 2K18. Alongside the multiple courts you’ll be able to practice your skills on, you can also find a Foot Locker store that allows you to buy more shoes in the bottom left-hand corner of this area. To go along with those fresh kicks, you’ll also want to kit your player out with some sweet new threads, too. The Neighborhood hub area in NBA 2K18 is actually filled with different stores where you can purchase clothes with your hard-earned VC.

If you’ve pre-ordered one of NBA 2K18’s fancier special editions, you’ll already have some clothes for you to change into out of the standard brown shirt. In order to change into them, you’ll want to go to MyCourt. From the Allen Iverson statue, you’re going to want to head towards The Venue and stop just outside. Across from here, you’ll see a bellhop outside a door. Head over to this, interact with the door to get inside, and then select MyCourt.

Once NBA 2K18 has loaded your fancy apartment, head past the pool table over to the right and walk through the door that has a sign saying “Closet” above it. Once you’re inside, you can change into any of the clothes you’ve purchased or already had as a bonus.

It’s worth noting that a number of players have found actually getting in and out of the Closet to be problematic, with the button prompt appearing and disappearing very quickly. Just keep trying for now, as there’s no real trick to it. With a bit of luck, this will be all patched up soon.
