Vex Hydra Locations on Nessus in Destiny 2 (Cut Off One Head Challenge)

Recommended Videos

For the Cut Off One Head challenge on Nessus in Destiny 2, you will have to find and kill three Vex Hydra on the planet. It turns out this can actually be pretty easy once you know the location of a Vex Hydra.

In order to find one, come down the right path from Watcher’s Grave towards Hallows. In the center of the path, you’ll see the Vex Hydra protected by several enemies. Quickly kill it once, and here’s a special tip, if you run left from the Hydra into a red path towards the Sunken Cavern you can reset the area and come back immediately to a new Hydra in the same location. Just go in the path until you encounter a black metal platform (or run for about 10 seconds into the path) and turn back around for the enemy to respawn.

Heads-up, though, if there are other Guardians nearby or a public event is underway in this area, the respawn trick won’t work. If the trick isn’t working for you, you can also find another one in the Pool of Luminous area also seen in the map below. This Hydra should be able to respawn too, if you fast travel back to The Cistern landing zone and head back to its location again.
