Destiny 2: How to Infuse Weapons and Armor

Power up those exotics.

Infusing Weapons and Armors in Destiny 2

Recommended Videos

The gear infusion system is back in Destiny 2, and it’s a pretty handy mechanic to get to know if you want to keep your exotic weapons and armor up to date with your Power level. First off, it’s important to note that you can only infuse legendary and exotic gear in Destiny 2. Gear with lower rarity tiers than that cannot be infused into.

To infuse a piece of gear, simply select it from your inventory menu and press the triangle button to view its details. Underneath the weapon’s details, use your cursor to highlight the leftmost icon that says Infuse. From here, you’ll be able to infuse any other gear you have in your inventory into your selected gear to increase its power. The piece of gear you want to infuse into your equipment must have a higher base power for it work.

In addition to that, you’ll also need to use legendary shards and glimmer in the process. Legendary shards aren’t too difficult to come by, and you can get them by dismantling legendary or exotic gear that you don’t want.

Be sure to check our Destiny 2 wiki for more information about the game.
