How to Fast Travel in Destiny 2
New to Destiny 2 is the ability to fast travel. This will help you get from place to place much faster and simpler than having to go back into orbit like you did in the first game. The best part is that it’s really easy to use and you have access to it pretty early on at the start of the game.
Before you can start fast traveling, you must first get your ship from Hawthorne and progress to the EDZ. When you’re there you’ll start exploring and completing missions which will unlock new fast travel points, called Landing Zones in Destiny 2, that you can quickly travel to. To actually go to these points, simply bring up your map (hold down the touchpad on PS4, or the menu button on Xbox One), highlight the Landing Zone that you want to fast travel to, and press X on the PS4 or A on the Xbox One.
Do note that you can only fast travel to landing zones. You cannot jump to missions, Public Events, or any other icon on the map.
