Ending 1: Devin Wade Gets Drafted, Colt Cruise Remains Undrafted
This Madden 18 ending is great if throughout your Longshot experience you developed into a Devin Wade fan, but is kind of depressing if you liked his good buddy Colt Cruise. Devin Wade gets drafted in the 7th round by whatever team you mentioned was your favorite earlier in the story. In order to get this ending, you need to have a high football IQ and performance grades.
You can achieve those by making smart on-the-field and off-the-field football choices, knowing the answers to your mentor’s questions, and honestly, being a bit selfish. You need to make choices not with your heart, but with your mind. So that means, if the time comes and you need to help yourself, or Colt, you need go with what makes yourself looks better. For example, checking down in the final challenge instead of going for Cruise long.
Don’t feel too bad, though. You’ve accomplished your goals. And Cruise, well… he’s pretty mean on that guitar at least?

Ending 2: Wade Goes Undrafted, Cruise Gets Drafted; Wade Signs as Free Agent With Cruise
So for this Madden 18 ending, if you screw around a bit too much for Madden 18 Longshot’s liking, your performance and football IQ grades won’t be where they need to be and you’ll end up undrafted. In order to end up on this route, make decisions based on your heart, and help Cruise out as much as possible whenever he asks. You’ll boost his draft stock, but lower your own, unfortunately (for you). In the last challenge, make sure to go for the “impossible throw” to Cruise long. Cruise will get the call before you, and he’ll be signed to an NFL team (a team within your favorite team’s division), making for a pretty awkward scenario in the Cruise household.
However, later in the day, you’ll get a call from an agent that mentions two teams are interested in signing you as an undrafted free agent (pretty common in real world NFL). One of those teams will be the team that signs Cruise. If you choose this route, Wade will be fighting for a roster spot as a third/fourth stringer QB, but you’ll have the sentimental ending of the two best friends playing together.

Ending 3: Wade Goes Undrafted, Cruise Gets Drafted; Wade Signs with Favorite Team
This Madden 18 ending is similar to the one just before. You screwed around too much and now Wade is sitting around on draft day, unloved and with no team to call home. The same thing will happen as the previous ending. You’ll get a call later on in the day from your agent. This time, instead of choosing to play with Cruise on his team, take the offer from your favorite team.
Unlike the ending where you choose to play with Cruise, Wade has a pretty good chance of making the team and being the primary backup to whoever the starter is on that team. Wade will be in a better situation for himself, but the two best friend’s dream of playing together will be over.
