Square Enix released Final Fantasy back in November 2016, but they’ve been pretty devoted to releasing new content for the game. Just recently, they announced that a Windows version of the game will be launching early next year. However, the ports don’t end there as Square Enix has just revealed Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition – a cute spin-off of the original title for mobile devices.
Possibly the biggest difference with this version is the chibi art style, but all the main characters and plot will be included within the game. The gameplay has also been streamlined with casual touch controls that are optimized for mobile devices. That aside, Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition will have a total of 10 episodes which will all be available upon launch. Take note that only the first episode is free, so you’ll have to pay if you want to complete this chibi journey.
Unlike its PC counterpart, this game is scheduled to launch later this year on iOS, Android, and Windows 10 devices with no official release date as of now. Square Enix has also yet to reveal the prices of the episodes, but we’ll keep you updated along the way. Watch the trailer for Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition below:
