The Nintendo Switch has been praised on its unique take as a gaming tablet, and while it certainly isn’t the first gadget to utilize this concept, it’s just gotten a lawsuit for its overall design. Gamevice, a company known for creating gaming accessories, is suing Nintendo for allegedly violating a patent they had for the Wikipad, which is pretty much a gaming-oriented Android slate, as per Engadget.

The lawsuit claims that the Nintendo Switch and its detachable Joy-Con controllers closely resemble what Gamevice had in mind for their own take on a game controller. As of now, both parties have yet to comment on the ongoing legal actions.

As you can see above, the Wikipad features dual analog sticks, four analog buttons, and an analog D-pad along with an area where you can slide in a tablet or mobile device. Needless to say, this accessory was designed in a way in that you could play mobile games using traditional console controls.
