Destiny: How to Get the Ace of Spades

How to Get the Ace of Spades in Destiny

Recommended Videos

The Ace of Spades is one of three class specific exotic weapons that was introduced during year two of Destiny. This potent Hand Cannon belongs to the Hunter and has some solid perks such as Third Eye (keeps radar active while aiming), Maverick (precision kills reload a round into your magazine), and Firefly (precision kills make your targets go BOOM!). It also has really high impact, granting some serious stopping power. Seeing as how this is one of the more special weapons in the game, you’re going to have to do a bit of work to get your hands on it.

The quest to grab the Ace of Spades in Destiny, titled Back in the Saddle, is granted by Banshee-44, the Gunsmith located in the Tower, on the right side of the area you spawn in at (to the left of the Cryptarch). He’ll let you test weapons in order to rank him up, do this. It may take you some time, and he’ll have new weapons for you to use every Wednesday. Once you get him to rank three, the next step is to get 100 Hand Cannon kills while using a Primary Telemetry (this is an item that lets you level up a gun faster). Upon completion, you’ll get an exclusive legendary, but we’re here for the elusive exotic, the Ace of Spades, so keep going.

The final step to get the Ace of Spades in Destiny is to get 10 Weapon Parts from legendary hand cannons. That’s it. If you’ve been saving up legendary weapons, this should be easy. Alternatively, you can farm or buy them from the vendors located around the Tower and other social spaces, provided you have the necessary Marks. Turn them in to Banshee 44 and voila, you have the Ace of Spades.

Safe travels and happy hunting, Guardians.
