If you have not watched the new trailer for Kingdom Hearts III, then you must be living under a rock, because the trailer not only showcased a brand-new Toy Story world but also a release date of 2018 for the Square Enix RPG.
Kingdom Hearts III director, Tetsuya Nomura, recently spoke with GameSpot on the long-awaited game and talked about the Disney-themed worlds and whether or not more worlds would be revealed before the launch of the game: ” I don’t think we’ll be keeping any worlds secret until the game is released. I think we will be introducing them leading up to launch; nowadays games can add content on after the fact through DLC content, so there’s no need to hide any worlds,” Nomura explained.
It seems that this Toy Story announcement won’t be the last Disney-themed world reveal for Kingdom Hearts III. Nomura is all on board for hyping up the third main entry in the franchise as much as he can.
Kingdom Hearts III is planned to launch sometime in 2018 for the PS4 and Xbox One; we also might be getting a Switch version down the line as well.
