Upcoming Pokeland App Is Basically Pokemon Rumble on Your Phone

A new Pokemon game for smartphones.

Pokeland

Yet another Pokemon game will be heading to smartphones following the silly, yet oddly satisfying Magikarp Jump. The Pokemon Company has announced that their new game, Pokeland, is coming to Android and iOS.

Here, fans will take control of toy versions of their favorite monsters where they’ll duke it out in battle. It shares some concepts with Pokemon Rumble that was released for the Wii back in 2009. This time, players will have to travel across various islands and partake in numerous fights in between. There is currently a total of 134 types of Pocket Monsters with six islands and 52 different stages. With that being said, the game also follows the standard series formula as you can collect and train all kinds of Pokemon.

Pokeland is still rolling out an Android-only alpha test which is limited to the first 10,000 sign-ups. During the alpha, players can take on the Champion Tower up to the 15th floor. Those who participate will not be able to carry over their data once the official app has been released. However, it is worth pointing out that this test is only limited to Japan, so international players will have to wait for further news when it becomes available in their area.

The Pokeland alpha will end on June 9 with no release date as of now.
