Fire Emblem Echoes: How Long It Is and How Many Chapters

How Long Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia Is

Recommended Videos

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a brand new entry in the long-running tactical series, and it’s going to take you a bit of time to complete. There’s definitely plenty of content to the game, both main story and optional things for you to do.

On average, Fire Emblem Echoes should take you about 40 hours to complete, with that time easily going up if you choose to do everything and depending on how long you spend grinding for experience. Of course, the time can also rise if you choose to play on Hard difficulty. Our own playthrough of the game on Normal with Classic Mode on lasted roughly 43 hours in total.

Fire Emblem Echoes is set up a little differently than other games in the series. The main story is split up into five different Acts, during each of which you’ll get to roam around the world map and complete various battles, which essentially act as chapters. You also control Alm and Celica on different parts of the map, playing through different stories and battles with each. There’s no set number to how many battles are in each Act, but each one adds on more and more, while the dungeons available add on the potential for even more random battles. It should also be noted that completing the final battle in Act 5 and watching the credits will unlock a post-game Act 6 with a few extra battles, and a challenging new dungeon.
