Prey: How to Slide

How to Slide in Prey

Recommended Videos

Prey is one of those games that seems like you’ll find yourself staying still and hiding, but actually forces you into some tense situations that have you running and gunning from time to time. The Typhon, a weird, alien enemy, loves to take huge swings at you while lunging from different places, so you’ll need to get the hang of moving quickly and avoiding attacks. One way to avoid enemies, and obstacles for that matter, is to slide by or under them.

Thankfully, it’s easy to slide in Prey (if only it were easier to not be blindsided by tricky mimics). All you need to do is gather speed by sprinting (L3/LS), then hit Circle/B. Using the crouch button while running will cause Morgan to drop and slide in the direction you’re running for a decent amount of distance. You can stop by hitting the button again, hitting an obstacle, or simply running out of momentum.

That’s all there is to it. Hopefully, you’ll now be able to avoid the Typhon on Talos I for a little bit longer. For more on Prey – such as guides, tips, tricks, and information – be sure to check out our wiki.
