The longstanding PlayStation 3 is on its way out. Having enjoyed a healthy life since its release in 2006-2007 (depending on your region), it has garnered one of the biggest libraries of games for a console. Sony has announced its plans to discontinue the production of the long-standing console in Japan, while the rest of the world is expected to follow suit.
In the meantime, the PlayStation 3 has still been getting game releases. Indie titles like the arcade shooter #KillAllZombies arrived just a few days prior. The console will also be receiving the highly anticipated Persona 5 along with its successor, the PlayStation 4.
The PlayStation 3 was beloved for its many hit games like The Last Of Us and had strong features like the ability to play Blu-ray discs, and were even cheaper than most standalone Blu-ray players for a very long time.
For those worried about the longevity of their consoles, you can pick up a PlayStation 3 at fairly low prices.
