No doubt Mass Effect: Andromeda is the best looking Mass Effect game to date – despite some rather odd visual glitches. The latest 4K trailer for the game has showcased a visual spectacle that will understandably have PC players very excited indeed.
4K resolution isn’t exactly brand new to PC players, but High Dynamic Range is still relatively new to the platform, and Mass Effect: Andromeda will be one of the first games to showcase it – although you will need an HDR compatible TV or monitor.
Running Mass Effect: Andromeda at Ultra 4K resolution will take some serious hardware. The recommended specs for the game are a GTX 1060 or 480 3GB / 4GB respectively to run the game at 1080p and get FPS slightly better than 30. Going by that, you can surmise that you would need a GTX 1080 or GTX 1080TI to run it sufficiently in 4K.
Mass Effect: Andromeda will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC next Tuesday on March 21.
