Intel – Ghost Recon Wildlands
Collecting and using information in Ghost Recon Wildlands is key to success, as players will always succeed better with more strategic knowledge of the world. This kind of info can be gathered by either surveilling an area via drone or gathering intel documents that are scattered throughout the world. These items are marked on your mini-map and TacMap by a gray circle with a lowercase I in the center. Most of the time you can locate intel documents when you’re exploring the world itself, however, it’s important to always be aware as they are usually heavily guarded by cartel soldiers.
There are several different types of intel that you can acquire in Ghost Recon Wildlands, with the majority of them just being files or audio recordings of events for you to enjoy. These are simply for the sake of expanding upon the story of the world and offer no bonuses to the player for finding them. Yet, the other type of intel are documents and computers that you can use to mark key items like resources, weapon parts, and skill points on your map for a specific region. You can only pick one item to unlock per intel document, so make sure to choose wisely until you find everything in that specific area.
Intel simply acts as a way for players to fill in their map and locate all of the hidden items, treasures, and weapons littered throughout. While not critical to your success in Ghost Recon Wildlands, they will certainly make any player’s life easier.
