For Honor, Ubisoft’s highly anticipated game, has finally released, but some players are facing some issues when trying to play online. One error message that players have been faced with reads, “requirements not met,” but it does not specify what those requirements are. The “requirements not met” error message could be down to one of two things.
The first could be that you have to do two things before you play multiplayer matches, one of which is completing the game’s initial tutorial. You learn the basics by defeating some A.I controlled enemies. The other thing you must do is beat your faction leader before you get full access to multiplayer.
If you have done both these things and are still met with the “requirements not met” error message in For Honor, the problem is likely to be that the game is not recognizing that you have done so. To fix this, the best way is quit and reload the game in the hope that it will re-trigger the completion, letting you into the online component.
If after this you’re still seeing the “requirements not met” error message, then the issue is probably connection based – either on Ubisoft’s end, or on yours. You can try restarting your router and reconnecting your console to the internet to see if that solves it. If not, then your best bet is to keep trying because the servers may be struggling with the launch week traffic.
