As PowerUpGaming reports, in an interview with Official PlayStation Magazine UK, the game’s creative director Shaun Escayg revealed how this new adventure will be different from the main installments in the series and what we should expect.

“It [will] be tonally different,” he said. “But in the same context of the Uncharted world.”

Escayg went on to discuss how setting the game in India works in the game;s favor. “India’s got really nice iconography: hidden temples and weird deities we can play off of, so it’s a perfect setting for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.”

Game director Kurt Margenau then teased that the gameplay will be as little different to what we’ve experienced in past Uncharted games. “I would say we’re going a little more wide this time,” he said. “I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s something we’re excited about on the gameplay side, this kind of contrast of an urban setting and a rural setting; a tighter experience and more open experience.”

It sounds as if The Lost Legacy could have more of an open-world than previous games. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy is set to be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4 later this year.
