Imagine all the time spent.

Psyonix, the developer of Rocket League, has announced on Twitter that the game has over 25 million players and thanked players for making this “one of the best communities and games around.” This is double the number of registered players since May 2016, when they had announced the milestone of 15 million players.

There have been over 1 billion matches played with 50 percent being played on a competitive setting, 33 percent on casual, 11 percent on alternative, and 6 percent on private. Another interesting thing to note is that there has been 31 million rumble matches played; Rocket League Rumble is one of the newer modes that was made available back in September.

This is just another milestone for the hit indie game which has gained endless praise since its release in 2015, and was among the top 12 best selling games on Steam for 2016. The game was also the best selling on the PlayStation Network last year for both North America and Europe. That’s not bad for a game that originally wasn’t sure if it should make itself free for PlayStation Plus users back in 2015.
