Fallout 4 Has the Original Wonder Woman in the Game, and She Sings

In case you were wondering if Fallout 4 could get any more awesome, it indeed can. Bethesda announced today that Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, will be in the game. And what more, she’s gonna sing. Carter’s been singing for 20 years in jazz and blues, and had two albums that released fairly recently. Carter and her band collaborated with game director Todd Howard and audio director Mark Lampert on concepts and gave guidance on the game’s themes:

“I was trying to give a different flavor to each of the songs, because there really is no genre except for how Magnolia sings them…She is the ‘genre’ and her personality is reflected in every song.”

Carter and her band ended up doing five songs for the game, though only one–“Good Neighbor”–is currently available for a listen (bottom of the blog). “Neighbor” makes specific references to the Wasteland, mutants, and caps, and the other four will sound like other period-appropriate tunes from the game. Carter plans on performing them on tour and possibly release them on a future album.

Carter will also be in Fallout 4 voicing a singer named Magnolia from the town of Goodneighbor. Magnolia owns a bar that’s a key location in the town, and according to Carter, Magnolia “knows who the players are… She’s really, really smart. And she does what she does because she loves it. So this is a safe place for her too.”

Fallout 4 hits the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 10. What do you think of the game featuring the OG Wonder Woman? Let us know in the comments below.
