Alien: Covenant was revealed last week with a really creepy trailer. It looks like gamers will be getting a companion VR experience app that ties in with the film as well. As reported by Variety, the VR experience will be available as a paid app on all major VR platforms out at the moment.
‘What we do know is that it aims to scare the pants off its viewers: The Fox Innovation Lab team describes the experience as “a dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe.”
The rest of the news release sounds equally unnerving: “Viewers will discover the true meaning of terror as they navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.”’
The VR experience will also be headed by movie director Ridley Scott and David Karlak.
Alien: Covenant is set to hit theaters some time in May. There’s no concrete release date for the VR game just yet. We’ll keep you updated as more details come our way.
