Following Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3’s recent delay from January to April 2017, developer CI Games has unveiled seventeen minutes of additional gameplay, this time focusing on the subtler side of infiltration.
The video below follows protagonist John on a rescue mission in Georgia. Player choice is the star from the onset, as John equips himself with a number of customizable guns and gadgets. This level’s equipment includes some C4, throwable knives, silencers, and a drone upgraded with increased battery life and stealth.
Ziplining down to the target area, it’s time to find a vantage point and send out the drone to mark enemies and traps surrounding the target. From there, the tactical options are up to the player. This playthrough takes a quiet approach, hacking cameras, picking off guards on the outskirts, and luring AI into silent traps.
Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 seems keen on the details. Long range shots need to take into account wind strength and bullet drop, and should you take out a guard tasked with fixing a generator, another will appear to get the job done. Footprints in the snow can offer a safe route through landmines, or lead you right into the enemy who made them.
You’ll be able to jump into Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3’s tactical action come its April 4 release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
