Please Blizzard, we've been good this year.

The holidays are right around the corner, leaving Overwatch players to wait patiently and see when a holiday themed seasonal event will be released. One Reddit user even found an extremely wintery version of the Overwatch theme in the game files, which all but confirms an Overwatch Christmas. And, of course, what is the most important part of any seasonal Overwatch event? The skins. Here are all the skins we have on our wish list, assuming we have been nice this year.

TORBJORN – ELF

A lot of people think Torbjorn would be an ideal choice for Santa, however, when considering his shorter stature, he seems much more fitting as one of Santa’s little helpers. By adding little bows to his beard and a couple elf ears, the resemblance to an elf is pretty uncanny.

It wouldn’t be awful if he ended up being Santa, though, especially when looking at this incredible fan-art of him including his armor packs as little wrapped-up presents.

JUNKRAT – JACK FROST

Not only do Junkrat and Jack Frost’s names sound extremely similar, but they are both known for being troublesome tricksters. The only difference is one deals with snow while the other prefers explosives.

By giving Junkrat some pale skin and blue frosted-tips, along with an icicle or two on his rip-tire, he starts to greatly resemble the personification of ice and snow.

PHARAH – REINDEER

How amazing would it be to glance up at the sky on Christmas morning and see eight beautiful Pharahs gallop across the sky with a sleigh in tow? Blizzard could make it a possibility if they agree that making Pharah a reindeer would be an extremely appropriate choice for a skin.

All she would need is a pair of antlers and a red nose to complete the ensemble. With the use of her jump jets, Pharah could dance around the sky like all of the other reindeer as cheer rained from above. Add a jingle bell sound effect whenever she took off it’s just about perfect.

REAPER – THE GRINCH

reaper, grinch, skin, overwatch, event, christmas

Reaper hated Overwatch! Through every competitive season! Now please don’t ask why. No one quite knows the reason. It could be his mask wasn’t screwed on just right. Or if could be, perhaps, that his cape was too tight. But I think that the most likely reason of all, may have been that his shotguns were two sizes, too small.

Reaper is quite literally The Grinch of Overwatch, standing on the outside and hating the guts of everyone who takes part in its execution. Like The Grinch plans to ruin Christmas, Reaper seeks to dismantle Overwatch, so a skin optimizing on this connection would be amazing. Plus, Reaper looks great in green.

BASTION – CHRISTMAS PRESENT

While standing, Bastion would be covered in wrapping paper with a huge Christmas bow on his back. It’s only when he’s switched to turret mode that his square shape forms together to make the deadliest Christmas present ever, complete with bow on top.

As for his little bird friend, perhaps a turtle dove? Or maybe a partridge in a pear tree?

SOLDIER: 76 – THE SAME, BUT IN AN UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER

Picture this; Solider: 76 in his normal skin with everything the exact same… but he’s wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. Perfect, right?

Blizzard has been embracing the Dad 76 craze – wherein Solider 76 is depicted as being the father of all the characters – by including voice lines like “Get off my lawn,” or his Halloween event spray featuring him sitting on a rocking chair. Hell, in one of the new voice lines found in Overwatch’s game files, Tracer just straight up calls him Dad. It would be great to see this continue by putting Solider: 76 in the most Dad-centric holiday outfit one could think of, an uncomfortably itchy and brightly colored ugly Christmas sweater.

MEI – MRS. CLAUS

mei, mrs. clause, skin, overwatch, event, christmas, holiday

Mei is the queen of ice and snow, reviled only by Elsa from Frozen. It’s safe to say that if there is an Overwatch holiday event, Mei is going to be getting a skin in one way or another.

Although Ana might be a more appropriate fit age-wise, in every other aspect Mei would make an amazing Mrs. Claus. She already has the up-do, glasses, and fur hood usually associated with the wife of Kris Kringle. By making her hair white and slapping on an apron, the resemblance starts to become apparent.

As a side note, it would be awesome if instead of becoming an ice block when Mei uses her cyro-freeze, she becomes a snowman instead. Please Blizzard, make it happen.

WINSTON – SANTA

Time for the big man himself, Santa Claus. Numerous characters could be a good fit to don the iconic hat and beard, such as Torbjorn or Reinhardt. However, we chose Winston to play old Saint Nick.

For the skin, all he would need is the famous beard and hat, maybe a sack of toys slung over his back, and have his Tesla Cannon feature an candy cane design to sweeten the deal.

Winston is the glue that holds Overwatch together in its later years, just like Santa lovingly runs the North Pole. He calls everyone back to fight once again, and views his crew like a big family that he strives to keep together. His friendly nature is very fitting in the portrayal of Santa, plus his belly would totally jiggle like a bowl full of jelly after all of that peanut butter.
