Headlining Decembers Games with Gold free games on the Xbox One front, players will be able to download Thief, the gothic stealth title, from December 16 through till January 15. Thief got mixed reviews when it released back in February last year, but if you’re into your stealth action games, you can’t turn it down for free!

Xbox One players will also be gifted the role-playing game The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, from December 1 through till January 1. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing combines RPG elements with hack and slash gameplay as you put on your wide-brimmed hat, grab your weapons and embark on an incredible adventure in the gothic-noir world of Borgovia, where mad science threatens the fragile peace between monster and mortal.

Starting on the Xbox 360, players can look forward to three games as opposed to the usual two available to download in the month of December. Castlestorm, the popular tower defense game is available to download from December 1 through till December 15.

Following this, both Sacred 3, the most recent title in the popular hack and slash brawler series, and Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, the military action game, will then be free from December 16 through to the end of the month.
