Bent, not broken?

Ubisoft released an official statement (via GameSpot) today, talking about the company’s sales so far and their best-selling games of 2016. As much as you might hate on The Division for all of its bugs and game-breaking issues, that title remains as Ubisoft’s best-selling game of the year.

‘Ubisoft said August was the sixth month in a row that it held the “year-to-date sales lead” in the US, Canada, Europe, and Australia. In the US, Ubisoft’s market share this year is 16 percent, while it’s 14.9 percent in Europe and Australia and 13 percent in Canada, the company said.

Ubisoft has been able to achieve this success thanks in part to The Division, which remains the No. 1 best-selling game so far in 2016, the company said. Additionally, Rainbow Six Siege was in the top 10 for August game sales in the US. Meanwhile, Far Cry Primal is in the top 10 so far in 2016 for sales.’

The Division will be launching its Public Test Server next week, and players will get a chance to check out the updates in the upcoming 1.4 patch. There are also upcoming expansions for the game, which will be released early next year.
