Attack on Titan – How Long Is It?
Attack on Titan is a big game, much bigger than anyone could have probably anticipated. Sure, we all knew that there would be big battlefields full of building-sized enemies, but there’s a lot of content in here, too. For those wondering just how long the game is, it all depends on what you’re trying to get out of the experience. But, to keep it simple, if you’re trying to just beat the game you can expect 20-35 hours of gameplay.
Attack on Titan is broken down into five chapters with the first four covering the events from the anime, sometimes shot for shot. The fifth chapter, The Epilogue, covers a brand new story that is somewhat based on the continuing manga, introducing new enemies and more problems. Each of these chapters is broken down into several missions that place you in control of specific characters as you advance. The only exception is the final chapter which allows you to use whoever you want.
The first four chapters, depending on your level of skill and how much you want to dedicate to Side Missions, can be cleared in about 12-15 hours. This is because you can bang them out one after the other with no interruptions. The fifth chapter will have you clearing a certain amount of Survey Missions in order to unlock each individual mission so you can progress. That’s where the extra time comes into play.
The story itself is pretty exciting, so it’s possible to find the time flying by with ease. If you’re like me, the need to S-Rank every single mission will just add more time to fight for humanity, and there’s nothing wrong with that.
