Rome: Total War is a strategy game released way back in 2004 and was a hit with both gamers and critics alike. Creative Assembly has now announced that the game will be coming to iPad.
It has been stated that this version of Rome: Total War will not cut any corners. The game will include a “full scale campaign”, “enormous 3D battles” and “thousands of on-screen units.”
Total War’s brand director, Rob Bartholomew, explained the port will be developed by Feral Interactive. He went on to state:
“ROME: Total War is still one of our most critically acclaimed Total War titles to date and a firm fan favourite. We are thrilled to work closely with Feral on the iPad release and excited that players will get to experience ROME: Total War on a whole new platform for the first time.”
Rome: Total War is set to be released on the iPad in the Autumn. The game will be compatible with iPad Air and iPad mini 2 models onwards. The two exp0ansions for the game, Barbarian Invasion and Alexander will be released separately at a later date.
