Konami has just announced that it has signed a three-year partnership deal with FC Barcelona in order to get “extensive access to the club’s stars” for Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.
As GameSpot reports, Konami has issued a press release stating that the deal will give the company a “visible presence within the match day experience.” The deal also allows Konami to have exclusive rights to FC Barcelona’s home stadium, which will be featured in PES 2017 and other PES titles.
FC Barcelona’s vice president of Marketing and Communications, Manel Arroyo, said: “We are delighted to have signed this agreement with Konami, who is now an official Premium Partner of the Club,”

The president of Konami, Tomotada Tashiro, said:
“This is a real statement of intent for us. This partnership will deliver access to the very best players in the modern game and to one of the world’s most respected and ambitious clubs. The PES series is famed for its realism and control, so the fit between such a skilled team and a game that celebrates such ability is perfect.”
PES 2017 is due to be released on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC on September 13 in North America and September 15 in the UK.
