Whether you’re a Splinter Cell fan or looking for a new stealth game to try listen up, because Ubisoft has announced that they’ll be giving away the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell for free from July 13 as part of their 30-anniversary celebrations.
The news was announced on their Uplay twitter account with the message “The #Ubi30 celebrations continue with Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell, available for free from July 13th on PC!” The game will be replacing their current free PC title Prince of Persia: Sands of Time and will be available for free for a month. The game will be yours to keep forever after downloading it and this announcement means there is still some time to download Sands of Time, if you haven’t already.
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell was originally released for the PC, PS2, Xbox, GameCube and the Gameboy Advance back in 2002. Ubisoft later released a remastered version of the game in 2010 and it has since spawned several sequels including the 2013 Splinter Cell: Blacklist, as well as several novels.
