E3 is just around the corner and gamers around the world are rejoicing. Not only does it bring with it a bunch of announcements regarding previously unknown projects, but it also gives us a chance to find out how upcoming titles are shaping up. This feature will take you through 15 games that we hope will blow E3 2016 out of the water. While for some of them we know very little about their gameplay or story, a new gameplay trailer or some hands-on time with them may what they need to make to truly shine. Whether it’s Final Fantasy XV after its 10 year wait, or Horizon: Zero Dawn making another appearance at E3 following its excellent debut, these are games that will have everyone grinning with happiness should they make an appearance. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the top 15 games we hope will blow E3 out of the water next week. The Last Guardian
The long awaited Sony exclusive reappeared at last year's conference showing us a similar section of the game we'd seen all of those years ago. With any luck, we'll get to see a bit more of the game and find out how we'll be working with our dog-bird friend.
No Man's Sky
Despite the fact that it's coming out in little over two months time, we still don't know all that much about No Man's Sky. Here's hoping we'll find out a little bit more about what there is to do in its giant universe at E3.
Final Fantasy XV
Final Fantasy XV has been in development for over 10 years and so the pressure is on for it to deliver. After a divisive Final Fantasy XIII, fans will be hoping that this will be the game to bring the series back to its roots.
Persona 5
Persona 5 is still waiting on its Western release date, and E3 would be the perfect time for a confirmed release. Paired with some more gameplay details, it'd be enough to tide fans in the West over until it actually comes out.
Gears of War 4
While we've already had the chance to play Gears of War 4's multiplayer in the beta, many of the details surrounding the single-player campaign remain shrouded in mystery. Here's hoping we'll get to see a little bit more of the gruesome shooter during Microsoft's conference.
Watch Dogs 2
Yes, the first Watch Dogs didn't quite live up to the expectations of fans, but it certainly had some promise. Hopefully Watch Dogs 2 will have learned from the mistakes of its predecessor and offer us the futuristic hacking experience we all hoped the first would.
Mass Effect: Andromeda
Mass Effect: Andromeda hasn't had much said about it either. But with some beautiful visuals, a new galaxy to discover, and coming from an excellent series, Andromeda has the potential to be one of the biggest games at E3 2016.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare
Infinite Warfare didn't receive the greatest of receptions upon its reveal, but first impressions aren't everything. If Infinite Warfare plays just as well as Black Ops 2 did when it made the series' first big leap into the future, a complete turn-around of opinion could be on the cards.
Horizon: Zero Dawn
Ever since it was revealed, Horizon: Zero Dawn has garnered a lot of attention from press and fans alike. With the game now confirmed for a February 2017 release, a little extra bit of gameplay would be just what it needs to tide fans over until release.
Final Fantasy VII Remake
The Final Fantasy VII Remake was one of the biggest announcements to come out of last year's E3. However, there were a number of comments made shortly after, including the episodic nature of the game, that have fans a little skeptical. With a big showing at E3 2016, Square Enix could put fans' concerns to rest.
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands
Shown off as Ubisoft's final E3 2015 title, Ghost Recon: Wildlands offers tactical shooting action alone or with friends. While Ubisoft's open world games follow a very similar format, hopefully some more Wildlands gameplay will show off some new features to keep it fresh.
Kingdom Hearts III
Originally revealed back at Sony's E3 conference back in 2013, the wait for Kingdom Hearts III has been long and arduous for fans. With new gameplay elements such as new enemies, summons, and Keyblade transformations shown off in the E3 2015 trailer, fans will be eager to see how it all plays at this year's show.
Shenmue III
Having been successfully Kickstarted after its announcement at Sony's E3 conference last year, little else had been mentioned about Shenmue III. With the game due to release in the holiday season of 2017, fans will be hoping to see some gameplay footage at Sony's conference this year.
Dreams
Media Molecule's Dreams has been a game that just doesn't seem to translate very well through gameplay footage or a live demo. A hands-on demo with the game, however, may help to shed some light on just how this obscure game feels and plays.
Battlefield 1
Battlefield 1's reveal was the stark contrast to Infinite Warfare's. Seemingly nailing the setting was its first victory, but now Battlefield One must prove that its World War 1 gameplay mechanics hold up against modern-day shooters.
